Thank you for your feedback, Carol. Before I edit, I want to make sure I understand the nuance. As I understand it right now, you’re saying that it’s okay to use black as an adjective, but not as a noun. For example, the title is correct usage: It’s not easy being black.” But when referring to an individual, continue to use black as an adjective: a black person/man/woman (singular) or black people (plural), rather than using black as a noun (a black, the blacks). Do I understand correctly? And are there other people reading this who can contribute their understanding?
